Hugs was conceived over ten years ago through a dream of a then thirteen year old girl named Alexandra Sue. Since then it has grown into a full
scale rescue. Operating on over 40 acres in Fowlerville Michigan Hugs has given refuge to hundreds of horses over the years. We have gone through many changes and struggles but we are still here
to give sanctuary to horses that have no where else to go.
We are a family owned farm that have opened our hearts and our lives for what we love and feel is a necessity for the betterment of horses. Without good rescues there would be a never ending
live of abuse to the wonderful animals we think of as gods gift.
We provide medical, food and shelter along with tender loving care. We take in ponies and horses that need help. We
rehabilitate them as much as possible and then we attempt to find loving homes where they can live an active life.
Our facility is open to the public several times a year and can always be entered through a private appointment. If you are interested in visiting our facility please check the online calendar for our open days.
We also have seminars throughout the year to help horse lovers learn and understand what it takes to own a horse. If you are interested in any of them please check our online calendar for enrollment dates.
